1968-69 Westpac Cruise

VA-65 B/N Douglas Cline created a film 55 years ago from his footage that summarizes the elements of a combat cruise. That summer, during Kitty Hawk’s 3rd line period, Americans landed on the moon. Woodstock and the Manson murders also made headlines in the USA, but squadron members didn’t pay much attention amidst the focus required during flight operations.
