Taking a camera on a hop
Above, My dad Lt junior grade Terry Plantinga doing his pre-flight routine on the Kitty Hawk in
April, 1969. On this day, Terry took a 35 mm camera loaded with slide film and captured a sequence of pictures while on a hop. They documented the job in 1969 for history. To me, it’s important for future generations to see what happened, rather than reading about it.
